Summary

RailWorks Corporation, a North American track and transit system, fell victim to a ransomware attack and data breach. The company has 45 offices, including one in Sewell, New Jersey, and approximately 3,500 employees. Exposed information includes various forms of personally identifiable information (PII) – names, addresses, driver’s license numbers, government-issued IDs, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, and dates of hire/termination and/or retirement. Those affected include both past and present employees, independent contractors, as well as their beneficiaries and dependents. RailWorks informed those impacted by the January 27 cyber-attack via email and has since mailed out disclosures offering free credit monitoring. Additionally, the company has established a dedicated call center for questions and concerns at 1-866-977-1068.
