We bridge the information sharing gaps between local, state, federal, public, and private sector organizations to reduce our members’ cyber risk and respond to emergent incidents. We encourage all New Jersey citizens and organizations to report cyber incidents. By law, all New Jersey organizations are required to report data breaches. Additionally, we encourage all New Jersey citizens and organizations to report cyber incidents.

An occurrence that actually or potentially jeopardizes the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of an information system or the data the system processes, stores, or transmits. Examples include ransomware, social engineering, malware, and unauthorized access.

Data Breaches

An incident in which sensitive, protected, or confidential data is exposed, copied, transmitted, viewed, stolen, or used by an unauthorized party. According to the New Jersey Identity Theft Prevention Act, all organizations are required to report data breaches. For more information, download our data breach flyer here.

We partner with the New Jersey State Police Cyber Crimes Unit, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the US Department of Homeland Security to assist victims in responding to and recovering from cybersecurity incidents, and to prevent future attacks. The goal is to promote shared and real-time awareness of cyber threats for New Jersey citizens, local governments, businesses, and critical infrastructure owners and operators.
