NJCCIC Data Breach Notification

Summary

On June 19, 2020, the Twitter account of a group known as “DDoSecrets” posted a tweet with the hashtag #blueleaks and a link to a website containing 269 GB of compromised data that includes sensitive internal information from approximately 200 fusion centers, law enforcement agencies, and government agencies throughout the US. The data, dating from August 27, 1996 to June 19, 2020, was stolen from third-party web hosting company Netsential and is comprised of sensitive law enforcement material and personally identifiable information, such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, and bank account numbers.
