NJCCIC Data Breach Notification

Summary

London-based education software company, Pearson, suffered a data breach in November 2018 that impacted thousands of schools and university accounts, mainly in the US. An unauthorized party gained access to 13,000 accounts for AIMSweb, a monitoring and assessment platform. The data exposed includes first and last names, and, in some cases, dates of birth and email addresses. Pearson notified affected users and is offering free credit monitoring services.
