NJCCIC Data Breach Notification

Summary

On June 22, Sprint disclosed that they had been informed of unauthorized access to Sprint accounts using credentials via the Samsung[.]com “add a line” website. Information exposed includes: names, addresses, account numbers, account creation date, monthly recurring charges, phone number, Subscriber ID, device type and device ID, and add-on services. Sprint secured the compromised accounts by resetting PIN codes on June 25. The number of affected accounts has not been revealed. To safeguard against identity theft, impacted customers may consider placing a credit freeze on their report.
